How we write
Editorial policy
This page sets out who writes the Cabin blog, how a piece is made, how corrections work, and what the writing is not.
Who this blog is for
Anyone circling a decision they can't quite make, journaling to get a day out of their head, or trying to put a name to a feeling that won't sit still. It's practical, everyday writing, not a substitute for professional care.
Who writes it
The Cabin team, meaning the people who build the product. Every article is credited that way.
How a piece gets made
Pieces on this blog are drafted with AI assistance and then edited by a person who is accountable for what goes live. That person picks the topic, edits for accuracy and tone, checks the claims that need checking, and cuts what doesn't earn its place.
What this is not
Nothing on this blog is medical, psychological or crisis advice, and nothing here should be read as a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If you are struggling or in crisis, please reach out to a professional or a helpline. In India: Tele-MANAS 14416 (24/7, free, 20 languages), KIRAN 1800-599-0019, or AASRA 022-2754 6669. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
Corrections
If a piece gets a fact wrong, cites something out of date, or lists a helpline number that's changed, we fix it and note on the piece that it was corrected. Wording and clarity edits don't get a note; anything that changes what a piece claims does. Tell us what looks wrong and we'll look at it.
Dates
Every article carries the date it was published and, if it has been revised since, the date of the last revision. Both come from when the piece was actually written and actually changed, never set by hand. Pieces get revised when something in them goes stale.
Where we stand
This is Cabin's own blog, written by the team that builds the product, so it is not a neutral third party writing about a category it competes in. A few articles end with one of our short videos. Those are adverts for Cabin, and the caption under each one says so.
